I bite, therefore I am
Miss Mattie says…
I bite through the box of life
I do not just sit in a box and relax; NO, that is not me. I jump in a box and right away, I have to test the box for its durability. I do this by chewing the box and toss the pieces on the floor.
I am a box bitter and proud of it!
Every box in this house has my teeth marks in it. Well, all but the litter box.
My human says that I don’t play well in the cat box with others because I destroy all the boxes. She is right! I hold dominion over all the boxes; they are mine for the chewing and destroying.
No box will ever go untested.
Mr. Bailey the Zen Cat tells me there is Zen wisdom in biting a box. If you ask him, he will tell you there is Zen in everything…including the litter box! Maybe, I will find his Zen and bit that too.
I think my reason for biting is simple…
I have determination, I have teeth, I have a box; therefore I bite.
Mr. Bailey’s wise cat wisdom…
When you are biting z box, you are being a very focused cat. Since you are a tiny cat, all boxes, regardless of wall size can appear big, which can make one feel confined.
To move beyond the box, you have two choices….
You can jump out of the box or bite through the box. Chewing the box breaks down the walls which removes the barrier completely. Jumping over the box may still give you obstacles in the future if you decide to revisit the same box.
When you can see over or through the box wall, you can see outside the box which changes your perspective. This allows your cat mind to become more spacious.
Is a box still a box without walls?
That depends,
Is your mind still in that box?
I see all of the pieces of the box on the floor. You have done a great job in showing us how things can change; one bite at a time.
Our human will be proud that you are not biting her or the furniture.
No Miss Mattie, you cannot bit my Zen. Be nice.
It’s part of life to have obstacles. It’s about overcoming obstacles; that’s the key to happiness.
