Love is everywhere; you are love
It it that time of year when the flowers are in bloom. For this mini-meditation, find a place that brings you joy and peace of mind. If you can be near a flower you like, that is better. Oh, don’t forget the cat.
All you need is an open heart, open mind and a few moments to allow yourself to focus and visualize.
(Where ever you sit, make sure the objects around you make you happy, not sad.)
Take a few slow deep breathes. Relax your body and allowing the energy of nature to surround you. Let this energy flow from your head; swirling in and down to your toes. When you feel relaxed, continue.
Place your hand on your heart and visualize or feel your heart beating. Every-time it beats, it will move energy through your body. See the color of this energy turn to a nice warm pink or a light peaceful green color. Focus on the feeling of those colors. The more your heart beats, the more vibrant and sparkly this color becomes.
These colors are the gentle colors of love.
Now, put your hands down and focus on the sensation of love in your heart. Allow your heart to open. Don’t fight it; relax and breathe through it.
At the location of your heart, visualize this ball of love energy turning into your favorite flower in half bloom. Visualizing this flower pulsating with the pink /green energy. It floats in love essence.
Visualize and sense the softness of the petals, the gentleness of love.
Visualize the vibrant color of this flower as it extents outward, giving us beauty and appreciation without conditions.
Think of the scent and the magical way it carries your emotions; opens up your senses.
See the openness the flower as it allows the sun to pour upon it, giving it energy and nourishment.
See the beauty and expression of this flower with its resilience to weather the cold days and emotional rain storms.
As you fill your heart with this flower energy, the flower opens up more and more until it it’s in full bloom; a full expression of love.
If at any point your flower petals start to close. Take in a few deep breathes, and see if you can find gratitude in your life as that can open your heart.
If that doesn’t work, ask yourself what you were ‘thinking’ about when the petals closed as that may give you insight.
If they still don’t open, don’t be discouraged. Appreciate the wisdom you gained, and try again later.
This may take some time, but keep at it. The more you allow your flower to unfolds, the more love can freely move within you.
Expanding the visualization
To expand this exercise, try using different flowers.
Focus on this…
Contemplate the simplicity of impermanence; the flower doesn’t worry how long it has to love, if it will love, be loved or not.
It just blooms.
Try to expand the flower to be as big as your body, consuming and becoming part of your aura. Visualize yourself basically ‘sitting’ in the flower bloom.
Visualize the negativity being burned up by the rays of the sun, then being transmuted into love energy.
P.S don’t be surprised if your cat moves closer to you, or puts a paw on your heart. They see and sense the shift in energy.
P.P.S Don’t be surprise if you have a deeper connection to the flowers that bloom in your heart. Besides the flower unfolding, synchronicity may unfold too!
