A post about our blue eyed “zen” cats
Thursday Cat Thoughts
By KT Cat Paws
This week we seem to have a blue eyed cat theme. It didn’t happen on purpose; it just ended up that way. So on this post for Thursday Cat Thoughts…. I am going to talk about blue eyed cats.
Yes, it is Thursday “Cat “ thoughts and although I am not a cat, I will take over the role for Miss Mattie and Mr. Bailey as they are sleeping.
All kittens are born with blue eyes, but then they have special pigments to keep blue eyes. Most blue eyed cats are white and or Siamese and of course albino cats have blue eyes. Some blue eyed cats who are white are also deaf, but that depends on a lot of variables.
If you want to understand the complexity of the cat eye, check out this post.
In this article we are going to talk about a blue eyed cat in relation to Zen
Blue is the most popular color for most people. It is fresh-serene color. Usually calming, peaceful and for most it represents male energy. There is softness about blue. The blue sky, the blue ocean and blue represents our subconscious mind which for the most part holds our deep seated feelings and emotions. For others “blue” only represents sadness, which is sad.
Blue is also a color of communication and connection with others.
Here is what a blue eyed cat can teach you.
- Beauty is in the “eye” of the beholder- the beauty of life becomes reflective in their eyes.
- If we stay Zen, the blue eyes can remind us that things will become “crystal clear” if we let it.
- Blue represent our emotions. Like pools of water, sometimes our emotions are on the light and breezy surface which can teach us to go with the flow. And other times the blue is dark and chilled which can teach us about our personal strength and resilience.
- Blue eyes in a cat are startlingly different, so you notice them right away. This reminds us to really “look” and notice the small things in life.
Above all, these blue eyed cats know how to bat those baby blues to get our attention and in doing so we find our inner purr. We love them just as much as our green or gold eyed cats.
Just remember as you seek out all blue-eyed and determined to find zen….
“The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes.”
