“Try walking back upon your old path, retracing your paw prints exactly. It is not possible.
By doing so you will lose the road ahead.”

My beautiful Cat Paws
Miss Mattie says…
My Mom tells me that I should be a paw model because I have the cutest paws. She also sings me the song “who runs the world-girls! Who runs the world-mattie!” by Beyoncé’ as she carries me around the kitchen. I do rule the world although my world is not very big.
As for my paws, they are white and black, yet tiny and soft.
I love to use my paws to my advantage. I put a paw on the humans are to get attention. I paw at my food bowl to get what I want.
I can go from being girly and soft with my paws to ninja paws in a split second!
Even if I “paw-pop” Mr. Bailey, I do so with a paw of love.
Sometimes, I will roll on my belly and put my back paws up in the air. It’s like kryptonite for my human. She can’t get enough of my paws and belly.
I also use my paws to play. I love to catch toys in my paws. I am ninja fast too!
Maybe I should get my paws insured because they do hold a profit in my cat world.
I don’t see Mr. Bailey using his clumpy paws to get his way. He could injure someone with those steel paw toes.
As I pad along on my tiny paws, I exude “sassiness.”
I put my tail up high and give it a wiggle. This gives me momentum and it also adds to the sass. Go wiggle your butt, see what happens.
I like to travel where no other paw prints have been. This way I can put my beautiful paw print on the world….one step at a time.
As my mom says… “Who runs the world-Miss Mattie! “
Mr. Bailey’s wise cat wisdom
Miss Mattie, everyone’s paws are beautiful. Even my “thumpy” paws have a purpose. And yes, our human mom loves to hold my paws too!
I always read what you say about me so maybe you should get litter box insurance because you just stuck your paw in it.
I use my paws to mindfully “thump along toward my goal. I don’t worry how I get there or where it will be. I remain present in the journey; in every step that I make. I also stop often to rest my paws.
As I sit, I reminisce while mindfully removing the dirt from my past paw-print memories.
Sometimes these memories get stuck and I have to work harder at being present.
Once done, I am prepared for mind and paw for the path ahead.
You are right Miss Mattie.
No matter what you do, you must use your paws to pad along to the song of your own inner purr.
Even your tiny paws have a great purpose….to run the world. (If you say so)
