I must destroy the box!
By Miss Mattie
In my ninja training I have moved on from the suspicious paper towel roles to the ultimate challenge-the cardboard box.
Mr. Bailey tells me I actually need more training in litter box wisdom. What does he know, he has never destroyed a box or a tissue.
My training expands as I use my destructive powers of my tiny teeth to rip into these tall walls that keep me in the box.
I conquer the box as I sit steadfast in the middle of it. I know the challenge, I know the risk.
I realize the lid could fall down on me at any minute.
I have been known to paw pop the box flaps, if necessary. This box must know who is in charge.
I am ok, because if I can’t get out of the box through the lid, I will break down the walls -one bite at a time.
(or I will meow and my human will let me out)
This box is no match for my tiny teeth of destruction. I will survive. I will conquer. I will destroy!
I teach this box a lesson by destroying the very essence of its ways. I rip and spread pieces all over the place. It is a war zone with tiny box like soldiers spread out.
Where they go after I am done, It does not matter. I have done my job.
This box is now NOT a box. It has been transformed into a flat piece of cardboard. No walls, no lid and no ways to hold anything in or keep anything out.
All is left is the bottom- the flat piece of cardboard that holds nothing but empty space.
It is the place I can sit upon and enjoy my win. Or my zen as Mr. Bailey would say.
The boxes need to remember me. Miss Mattie-paw-popping, bit-boxing Pattie…I am coming after you.
Go ahead, send in more boxes…I am ready.
Bite on my ninja friends!
On to the next box….
