“Love me for who I am, but don’t hate me for who I am not.”The bottom line, I am just a cat.”

13 lessons from a black cat. Yes, I had to put 13 in. Part of the contract. Part of the mystery. Carry on.
I am a black cat. Yes, I am an awesome-pawesome cat. I am also a cat with a blog.
O.K, not really my blog, but I make sure it is safe as I sit on the zen zen. ( after I move Mr. Bailey out of the way)
With my cat eye, I am watching you. So don’t blink or you might just miss me.
Being a black cat holds challenges, but these challenges make me a better cat with better friends. Did I say awesome already?
First off, I am not completely black. I do have a tiny spot of white on my chest. It is my cat badge of honor, and although I have the silkiest fur, beautiful eyes, and a great personality, most seem to focus on that tiny patch on my chest. I really wish they would look at my eyes instead.
Yup, now I know how some women feel.
Since I have always been a black cat, I am an expert. Just saying.
13 Lessons
- Black is the absorption of all colors, the combination of the entire rainbow! I eat your rainbows for lunch.
- People look to me in awe while being slightly cautious. I guess it’s my mystical and mysterious side. Yea, we will go with that.
- I am a color of silence, stillness and waiting. I am comfortable in this solitude..waiting to grab your toes as you go by.
- My silky black fur can be a magnet for dust bunnies and white lint. I keep lint rollers in business.
- I am magical! It is the way of a black cat. I find power in embracing the unknown, the magical side of life. Coven meeting next Thursday.
- I am secretive, the master of disguise and I hide what is in plain sight, therefore I can see the truth that others may miss. I am watching you. Creepy huh?
- Being a black cat has the unfortunate luck of many superstitions put upon me. I try to understand what is taboo, until some hot actress picks me up and I just don’t care. This is your problem, get over it. BOO…scary cat. Sigh.
- My black color is the color of sassy rebellion. I couldn’t claw my way out of writing this post, so I did it for tuna. Everyone wants a black cat in October. What about July? NO
- I am the black yin to the white yang. I am an aspect of balance and the duality of all. I had to add something Zen or I would be banned from writing on this site.
- Black is the color of absorption, so carrying a black cat makes a human look thinner. Ok, maybe not.
- My black color is deep, dark and engaging. If you gonna keep starring, you mine as well open a can of cat food.
- I am adorable and loving and I keep my heart warm for the embrace of others. I give free hugs.
- My eyes are expressive. My eyes stand out because of the dark colors around them. My eyes let you fully embrace the window to my soul. They can also make you do things you don’t want to do. Boo Again! Humans are so gullible.
The next time you see a black cat, reflect on the mystery, beauty and lessons we can teach you. If you are still scared, good. We like it that way.
Be Zen if you want.
Just remember that Black cats rule!
