Yin-Yang Cat ways…
I was sitting on my couch watching Mr Bailey and Miss Mattie play.
They got their paws and tails all wrapped up in a ball of fluff. I couldn’t figure out who was who, despite the big contrast in dark and light colors.
In this way, they became the yin/yang cats.
Yin Yang is the concept of duality. Yin is female, night, and receptive energy. Yang is male, day and projective energy. Both sides have small amount in each other.
Looking at my cats in this way, they have this opposite energy too!
Mr Bailey is a male cat with receptive energy. He is softer in his approach. With patience and good gut reactions to situations, he will sit proudly upon his cushion of contentment. He keeps Zen-like focus watching the birds as he ponders the universe and the crazy ways of Miss Mattie.
Mr. Bailey also looses a tad of his Zen when he gets scares and hides under the bed.
Miss Mattie, is a female cat with projective energy. She is 6 lb of force to be reckoned with. She loves to pounce and play with abundant enthusiasm for all to see. She is a little explorer who is always looking high and low for something to get into. Her Zen is her determination and sassiness.
Miss Mattie puts on her cat armor showing fierce intent until she sees Mr. Bailey being a sacred cat. Then she becomes the nurturing mommy cat.
Watching, I notice differences, but I also notice what is similar; love, playfulness, and a watchful eye for one another. I also see the cat essences within each of them.
It is within their yin-yang ways that there is a subtle flow of energy surrounding them. It melds and merges with their cat essence; with their unique paw print that touches my heart at every turn.
To find the yin-yang cat within….
- Yin and Yang are opposites with each aspect holding a part of the other. It is a movement of balance, of give and take. When we can appreciate the differences that both sides hold, we can find the center.
- Yin/Yang is spacious, never static, and never whole within one side.
- We learn that our weaknesses show our greatest strengths, our strengths can show our greatest weaknesses.
- When you think you have found Yin/Yang, it will change.
Yin Yang is interchangeable and in everything; the spiraling dance of life.
It is your job to enjoy it and keep it simple.
