We have times in life when we need to cultivate the pathway we are walking upon.
When road to our destiny is full of blocked trees and unseen roads. If we don’t cultivate what we walk upon we will never get there.
We can take a few approaches… we can be like a saber tooth tiger or a house cat.
The saber tooth will take the drastic route and use a backhoe to remove the debris, pack the dirt down and get rid of all the excess underbrush and over grown trees around. This fast action is a metaphor for the bull or saber-tooth in the china shop.
This saber tooth has cultivated a beautiful path with crisp edges and clean lines so there is no question where the path lies. If he is not mindful he may take down a pretty tree, or missing some opportunity while over- cultivated the path.
The flip side, he will get it done quickly, having time to enjoy the catnip of his labor. Other cats will know that this cat mean business!
Besides, if we’re a saber, no one will dare block our path!
Other times us cats use the gentle approach.
Like a house cat that moves with purpose, she cultivating the path by padding it down every day, taking in the scenery and serenity, watching the butterfly’s and birds while enjoying the flow forward. This cat jumps over things exploring with mindfulness to find the hidden path with ease. Soon enough she has forged a path where there wasn’t one.
This pathway can take longer to cultivate with the cost of missed opportunities from too many moments of distraction.
On the flip side, it can bring a joyful journey of hidden treasures and possibly a few moments of play with a friend along the way.
Most of us take the combination of approaches. A little saber tooth energy for determination and a little house cat energy for curiosity and play.
Whatever you decide, make sure you move forward, for if you never pad along on that pathway of your purpose you will never know the beautiful life that can trail before you.
Don’t forget to watch for butterflies!
Hugs, Peace & Padding forward!
